Kasey's Family

These pictures are of my nephew, Matthew Bourgeois. Kasey use to call him her little man. She was so close to him. He use to come over and sit next to Kasey and just talk his heart out and tell her about every dinosaur that he had. You can tell by the smile on her face just how much sunshine that he put into her soul.

Lauren is four years old now and she still talks about how she misses her nana so much. She still tells people I hope nana comes back soon because I miss her.

Here are some pictures of Lauren, Kasey's Godchild, but also our granddaughter. She was the apple of Kasey's eyes. Every time she would come over to visit her nana, before she would leave, she always would tell Kasey, “Hang in there chick, you can do this, be tough” then softly give Kasey a kiss. She was one of the reasons why Kasey fought to live. God knew that our little Kasey would be leaving this earth young, so he blessed us with a granddaughter that looks just like her. Lauren would get in Kasey's bed and they would just talk to each other. Lauren use to feed Kasey popcorn. Kasey would tell her, “Lauren, watch my pipes.” She would answer, “Nana, I not touch your pipes, bang bag nana, I just put some love in your pipes.” Lauren is four years old and Kasey has been in her heavenly home since November 27, 2002 . She still talks about her nana. She told us that she got a sunshine note at school and that nana was so proud of her while she was on the playground that day, her nana sent her a butterfly and it stayed a long time by her.
